Leading Teams in Effective Decision Making

November 9, 20189:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

Grace Community Church
212 Peach Bottom Road
Willow Street, PA

Cost: $35 per person / CEUs available

Topic: Leading Teams in Effective Decision Making

Too often, team dysfunction can be traced back to flawed decision making. This seminar offers a straightforward framework for leaders to develop skills to create an environment that gives everyone a clear understanding of the core issues, a common language for discussion, and an authentic invitation to engage in productive decision-making.

Presented by: Merv Charles, MBA

Challenged years ago to write a life mission statement, Merv Charles wrote what he felt is God’s heart for him: to stand alongside and assist. That mission still inspires him 25 years later. Growing up as a child of missionaries in Brazil, Merv has participated in church planting in Pennsylvania and Brazil. He served 15 years with Eastern Mennonite Missions, the last nine years as Director of Global Ministries, sending long-term workers to some 30 nations. Merv is currently completing ten years as pastor of Mt. Vernon Christian Church in southern Lancaster and Chester Counties. He is looking forward to active retirement, hoping to expand on the role of consultancy that he has enjoyed through the years. Merv graduated from Fort Wayne Bible College with a BA in Pastoral Ministries and from Taylor University with an MBA. Merv and his wife, Laurel, have been married 41 years and greatly enjoy their adult children and three grandchildren.
