Faith in the Marketplace is a breakfast series offered to business and civic leaders, enabling them to integrate their Christian faith with the workplace and see that their vocation is far more than a profession – it’s a calling of God.  Doors open at 6:30 a.m. We begin at 7:00 a.m. with breakfast, and adjourn promptly at 8:30 a.m. The speaker on November 7th will be Doug Etter.

”Into the Mouth of the Wolf: A Shepherd Follows His Flock to War” – Chaplain (COL) Douglas Etter has found his faith tested, purified and solidified in the crucible of combat . Join us as he weaves together the experiences he had in the desert, as well as, the mountains to offer a compelling call to rethink our approach to the Christian faith Monday through Saturday.

Chaplain(COL) Douglas A. Etter currently serves as the Pennsylvania National Guard Joint Forces Headquarters Chaplain. As such, he is responsible for providing for the religious needs of 20,000 soldiers and airmen and managing 43 Religious Support Teams. He is also the Chief Communication Officer for the Lebanon VA Medical Center in Lebanon, PA. He is a combat veteran and the recipient of multiple military medals and decorations CH(COL) Etter received his BA in History and Religion from Grove City College, and an MDiv from Princeton Theological Seminary.

Chaplain(COL) Etter is an ordained Presbyterian minister and a state certified Paramedic. His hobbies include high altitude mountaineering, rock climbing, and backpacking. Mr. Etter has published several articles and book chapters. He is the co-editor of the book, Promoting Successful Integration, published by the Borden Institute in July 2018.
