Spiritual life at Evangelical grows from a tapestry of relationships and experiences, beginning with our community chapel programs. Join us for chapel, where we can meet God together in worship and prayer.
Prayer weaves its way to God through this community. A small room beside the chapel provides space for private or small-group prayer, and you’ll pray together with classmates and professors in class each week as well. Meetings with your academic adviser often end with prayer, and committee meetings often start with it. Prayer requests and praises circulate through an e-mail list so that we can carry others’ burdens and share their joys throughout the year. You may even decide to sign up for a prayer partner for the semester, meeting as often as you wish, building relationships with other students or professors that will last a lifetime. Some classes use this prayer partner concept as well, and others involve small groups that share and pray together.
Fellowship opportunities pop up everywhere. Weekly Community Meals provide a place to share table fellowship with students from all the degree programs on campus, and local eateries often see groups of students stopping in for a quick bite together between classes. You can play pool or watch TV in the Beers Student Life Center, or eat a bag lunch with others in Zinn Commons. You’ll find chances to serve in student government or in the kitchen, in the library or the admissions office. You really will become part of our family here at Evangelical!
