MA in Ministry
The MA in Ministry is an innovative 36-credit program that blends real-world experience, practical ministry skills, and theological foundations in an integrated format.
Students study and grow as a cohort, participating in vibrant online interactions and three five-day, face-to-face residencies per year, each hosted at a church known for excellence in its ministry practices.
The curriculum reflects what church and denominational leaders have advised us are the dozen most important skills for effective ministry in this generation. Grouped into six 6-credit semester-length modules, each is collaboratively taught by a team of practitioners and passionate scholars:
Formation and Vocation
Community and Care
Word and Worship
Mission and Evangelism
Leadership and Management
Planning and Vision
Because the best ministry preparation addresses the growth of the whole person, each student is also supported through this holistic learning experience by an experienced ministry mentor and a certified spiritual director. Students are responsible for any compensation provided to these advisors; program coordinators will assist you in identifying the right people for your personal and ministry aspirations.
