Jo Ann H. Kunz

Jo Ann H. Kunz, M.A.
B.A., University of Connecticut; M.A., Chestnut Hill College

This is what the Lord says: Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths, ask where the good way is, and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls. – Jeremiah 6:16

Jo Ann’s life, calling, teaching, and ministry is a response to this biblical invitation

  • to intentionally inhabit the intersections of life
  • to develop clarity of spiritual sight and discernment, and the courage to act on that clear discernment
  • to recover ancient ways of knowing and following God with one’s whole mind, heart, soul, and strength
  • and to experience the fullness of God’s shalom, personally and interpersonally, as a result.

Jo Ann has attempted to walk in these ancient paths in many ways: by serving for eighteen years as senior pastor of a vibrant, innovative nondenominational church? as a spiritual director in private practice who also teaches, trains, and mentors other spiritual directors in a nationally-recognized spiritual direction training program? as a seminary and university instructor who seeks to integrate the heads and hearts, bodies and souls, of her students? and as a retreat facilitator and academic and special event presenter in varied church, parachurch, and educational learning environments.
